The intricate detail, stunning dimensionality, and the subtlety of the sunbeams, all contribute to making this lamp truly transformative.... The forest image you see is not a photo or print, it is caused by light shining through different thicknesses of translucent porcelain; where the porcelain is thinner, it lets more light through and where it is thicker, it blocks more light. The engraving gives the image a three dimensional quality that photos can't convey. In addition, this lamp has green and brown ceramic pigment kiln fired onto the back of the porcelain, and this color gently diffuses through when lit, adding yet another layer of beauty to the image. This is also our best selling lamp, as it appeals to men, women, and even children of all ages..Four large Lithophane panels decorate this gorgeous accent lamp. It is very versatile, as it can be placed low (on a night stand, for instance), high (on a bookshelf), or anywhere in between, and still look great! The lamp frame is made of durable steel, powder coated in a black semi-gloss finish, and features 4 protective “feet” on the bottom. The porcelain is non-porous, and washable with any common household cleaner. It will never fade or discolor; porcelain is timeless! Because it is a lithophane, the intricately textured porcelain surface is beautiful even when not lit. The two panels shown in the photo are repeated on the back two panels of the lamp. This lamp comes complete with a 60w A19 Incandescent Bulb, with a 6 ft. cord and an inline switch. The bulb can be replaced with a standard base LED or Compact Fluorescent bulbs as well, warm white color is suggested. 13.25" tall. Nicely boxed with a brief history of the art of lithophanes printed on the box. UL listed.
